Allen Watts burst onto the scene in 2012. Having been an avid trance listener since the days of System F, Tiësto and Paul Van Dyk, his own talent for making music lay beneath the surface for many years. Recognizing this talent, Allen shifted gears and delivered a fast debut release “What May Come” through Richard Durand’s Terminal 4 label. Taking early cues from producers like Dave202, The Thrillseekers and the above mentioned veterans, Watts followed up with “Split Second.” The track was picked up by Armin van Buuren and, as quickly as the name would suggest, catapulted Allen to the forefront of European club nights.

Any living soul capable of producing music of this caliber should be no stranger on stage, and Allen is no exception. His DJ style, authentic and devoid of flashy tricks, takes listeners on an ethereal, full-throttle journey into the realm of consciousness.

Having traveled every corner of the globe from London to Los Angeles, Mexico to Thailand and beyond, Watts has refined the raw edge that made his original sound and DJ sets so tangible. Despite constantly changing dance floor trends, he has always given us the extraordinary. In fact, a quick look at his gig diary and release schedule tells us that this melodic mastermind is in the prime of his career.

Following Allen’s relentless stream of heavy hitters (“Blackout“, “Gravity“, “Flashback“, “Breakthrough“, “Telepathy” and many more), he became the most-played artist on Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance Radio Show in 2016. His growing collection of power productions earned him a permanent home on labels like Who’s Afraid of 138!? (Armada), where he has had numerous releases to date – as well as Grotesque, Monster Tunes and Black Hole Recordings. His name alone has become a joule in the record bags of all taste makers of the genre – an accolade that has led to remix requests from none other than Armin van Buuren.

Allen really banged on until 2016, making several international debuts with gigs in Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic, Italy and Bahrain. The busy touring schedule paid off, propelling Allen from #132 into the top 25 of Trance Podium’s Best DJ poll. The strong work ethic continued in the studio, and Watts marked the year with even more successful releases, including the Beatport chart-topping “All or Nothing (feat. Christina Novelli)”.

In 2017 Allen Watts returned to Germany (Technoclub & Trance.Mission), his Canadian debut as well as as Luminosity and Full Moon Festivals in the Netherlands. His biggest release in 2017 – Arizona – was debuted by Armin van Buuren at the Ultra Music Festival and has been a ubiquitous presence in Armin and many other sets throughout the year.

The Allen Watts brand continues to grow with the launch of High Voltage Radio, hosted by himself. Each month, the radio show is growing rapidly with a strong following of enthusiastic listeners.

2018 went on stronger, with huge hits like “Limitless“, which was a massive collab with Ahmed Romel on Future Sound of Egypt.  This helped Allen to rise to the top of his game. At the same time, the shows continued to be very sucessful. A return to Germany to then play a sold out A STATE OF TRANCE – Utrecht, Netherlands, Poland, Mexico, Switzerland and Thailand, all within a few weeks.

Since then, Allen Watts has now been included in the A-list producers and DJs, among the biggest names in the business. He has released more than 50 tracks with Armada and has had numerous collaborations with other major artists. He also did 3 remixes for Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate and Gareth Emery.

Additionally, the pandemic didn’t slow him down as he launched his own record label, HIGH and LOW VOLTAGE RECORDINGS, giving new aspiring artists the opportunity to share their talent and work! After the pandemic and the return to normal, he is now playing around the globe at the biggest festivals like ASOT, UNTOLD, DREAMSTATE, LUMINOSITY, UNKONSIOUS to name a few. He captivates crowds with his energetic sets and creates an electrifying atmosphere wherever he plays.
