KINETICA
Kinetica is an artist who is proving to be one of the most exciting talents from the world famous Irish trance scene. Dee Henry aka Kinetica has been making some serious noise across the scene with his signature high energy, uplifting trance and hard tech trance production sound. With an electric blend of skill and passion for trance music flowing through him, this artist is sending shock waves far and wide as his original tracks, remixes and killer reworks earn him support from the who’s who of trance music.
After cutting his teeth on some up and coming labels, the legendary Black Hole Recordings first discovered Kinetica when he remixed the massive classic ‘Kamaya Painters (Tiesto & Benno De Geoij) – Endless Wave’ which went on to receive full release on the iconic Dutch imprint In Trance We Trust, introducing Kinetica on a global level. Summer 2015 saw Black Hole Recordings making Kinetica one of their roster artists after In Trance We Trust became a regular output for his music with nine releases to date. Collaborating with the trance legends Talla 2xlc and Binary Finary, his reworking of classics plus stunning original tracks and remixes caught the attention of ITWT A&R Menno De Jong who asked him for a personal remix which then lead to Kinetica and Menno’s collaboration ‘Aurelis’, earning him his first top 10 spot in the trance charts. Sterling reviews in DJ MAG plus regular support from Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Menno De Jong and many more including numerous radio plays on Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance, FSOE Radio and Degenerate Radio have helped pave the way towards the next level.
Kinetica is currently signing music to the mega labels FSOE and Vandit, also Sean Tyas and Activa’s Regenerate and RAM’s Nocturnal Animals amongst other smaller but equal quality labels. In 2019 he created a tougher tech sound that caught the interest of FSOE Clandestine where he has became a regular with his track ‘The Rattler’ being selected by Aly & Fila for their ‘Sands Of Time’ compilation. He also created a BXR bass bomb called ‘Major Tom’ which the legendary UK hard trance label Tidy Two picked up, this one has devastated crowds of up to 10,000 at Belfasts SSE during the Subculture Belfast Tour. On the vocal front Kinetica has already worked with Irish trance royalty Audrey Gallagher in a collab with Binary Finary called ‘In Our Blood’ and also the fabulous talents of Denise Rivera with ‘When The Heart Runs Dry’ on Amsterdam Trance Records.
A regular team up is Kinetica & Inversed, Anton and Dee are childhood friends who always shine bright when they get together in the studio whether its the more uplifting style or tech trance with hard trance fusions. Talking about collabs, Kinetica’s biggest personal studio achievement to date was teaming up with the trance godfather himself Paul Van Dyk for ‘First Contact’ which features on the luminary German’s 2020 album ‘Guiding Light’.
Born in Drogheda in ROI but growing up in NI, living in Belfast and with Ireland as an island being the modern force in global trance, Dee is carving out his place amongst some of the biggest and most popular artists in the game. While playing to the Belfast crowd is amazing, the dream of an international DJ career is already underway, from playing his Dutch debut for the huge Luminosity Events during their annual Trance Gathering event in Amsterdam to regular trips across the water to play in England and many more countries to follow in 2020 and beyond.
